Emil Wennerwal is one of Denmark's most famous landscape painters.  Wennerwald has sold at many auction houses including Christies in London, Sotheby's in London, and Bruun Rasmussen in Denmark. He has exhibited at the prestigious Charlottenborg Palace after 1882, the Exhibition in Lubeck (Germany), the Deer Park Exhibition in 1913, Dresden in 1889 and Berlin in 1890.  Wennerwal's work may be seen in many museums including the City Museum of Copenhagen. 

Wennerwald took lessons from Carl Wurtzen, and was a pupil of Carl Wilhelm Hansen.
